Mrs. Hunzeker's Math Room

We have been learning a lot in math so far.
The seventh grade math students have been working on fractions, decimals, percents and integers. They have been working on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing them. They have also learned how to convert from one form to the other. They are currently working on integers and how to compute with them.
Pre-Algebra has been working on expressions, equations, graphing in a coordinate plane, working with monomials and scientific notation. They are currently working on converting between fractions, decimals and percents.
Algebra I has done a variety of things. They have worked with equations, relations, graphs and sequence. They are finishing the chapter on writing equations using point-slope form, standard form and point-intercept form. They are also learning about special functions.
Math topics have done a few different project this quarter. They wrote their own survey, gave the survey, collected data from the survey and then displayed the results in many different ways. They displayed their results through bar graphs, line graphs and circle graphs. The other project they worked on was making a tessellation, which is a repeated pattern.
