Purcell honored in Believers & Achievers program

Launch the media gallery 1 playerJCC senior Michael Purcell was recognized as a 2014-15 recipient of the NSAA Believers & Achievers award at Pinnacle Bank Arena during the Girls' State Basketball Tournament Finals on March 7, 2015.
Michael is the son of Carl & Sarah Purcell, of Cook. He participates in basketball, boys golf, music, National Honor Society, Quiz Bowl, FFA & FBLA.
Believers and Achievers is a state-wide program designed by U.S. Bank® and the NSAA to give recognition to Nebraska’s future leaders. The award honors those students who show a commitment to good citizenship and involvement in school and community projects.
NSAA member schools will be asked to nominate individuals to be honored. From those nominees submitted, U.S. Bank® and the NSAA will select and honor 48 high school seniors throughout the 2014-15 academic year.
Seniors to be, who have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.75 (on an unweighted 4.0 scale) and participate in NSAA sponsored activities are eligible for nomination.
