Class of 2020 Graduation
July 06, 2020
The Johnson County Central High School graduation ceremony for the Class of 2020 is Saturday, July 25th, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the high school gym.
Below is a list of items the administration would encourage everyone to adhere to for the safety of all involved during this graduation ceremony:
- We encourage any individual with health concerns to stay home and watch the graduation ceremony via Striv. This can accessed on our JCC website.
- During the graduation ceremony, the senior class will use social distancing while seated on the stage bleachers in the high school gym.
- Social distancing will be used on the gym floor between each family. Each graduate will have 8 chairs reserved for parents/family members, and/or friends.
- Other family members and/or guests will sit every other row in the south bleachers. Since social distancing will be very difficult, we strongly encourage anyone that sits in the south bleachers to wear a mask. If we have enough room on the gym floor, we will set up chairs for family members and/or guests.
- Please respect everyone in attendance by using social distancing as much as possible. When families and guests come on JCC school grounds, please do not gather. We would appreciate everyone seat themselves right away either on the gym floor or in the bleachers.
- Before and after our graduation ceremony, the senior class will not be gathering anywhere on school ground; therefore, there will be no pictures before or after the ceremony. We encourage pictures be taken at home.
- As soon as seniors enter the facilities, they need to report to the band room by 1:30 p.m.
- Seniors will receive their scholarships & diplomas without a handshake. The individuals presenting the scholarship and diplomas will use hand sanitizer between each senior.
- With the conclusion of the ceremony, each senior will immediately escort their 8 family members from the gym floor and proceed to their vehicles to avoid any gatherings.
- Families and guest sitting in the bleachers will be dismissed by rows after the graduates and family members have left.
- Please help us make this a safe and memorial graduation ceremony by informing your family members and guests of these safety procedures before they arrive at the high school.
If you have any questions about graduation, please call Mr. Lester at the school at (402) 335-3328. Johnson County Central High School wants this to be an awesome day for you and your graduate. We will accommodate you any way we can.
