Hola from the Spanish department!

Hola from the Spanish department!

If you have a child in my class, you probably know that they have to talk quite a bit in Spanish; not only in the classroom either. If they can't understand how to or don't have the opportunity to use Spanish, then they are learning superficially and have the potential to lose the information. I am very passionate about language learning in general. I do try to relate the sentence structures used in Spanish to similar ones of the English language. I have a link below about various languages: numbers about languages, information about "made up" languages, and where you can find languages spoken throughout the world.

Most interesting to me were when signing in sign language, they demonstrate accents, there's a name for the "private language" that twins might use to communicate, German is considered closest to the English language, and that Furbish (the language of the kid's toy, Furby) exists.
