Junior Class News
April 06, 2017
Arabian Nights was the theme of the JCC Junior/Senior Prom held April 1, 2017. The class appreciates the inspiration and support of our art teacher Joni Fox, who helped them come up with a fun prom theme that could be carried out on a limited budget. They also appreciate all those individuals who loaned items and helped with the decorating. Doors to prom opened at 8:00 pm, welcoming students and their parents to come enjoy the ambiance. After taking individual photos and group pictures for the junior and senior class, parent exited the building before the dance began at 8:45. The dance ended promptly at 11:30 when students changed clothes and boarded the busses for post-prom at “The Mark” in Elkhorn. A good time was had by all. Thanks to all the parents and sponsors who made this possible.
Juniors are now shifting gears and getting ready to take the ACT test on April 19th. This is the first year that ACT is replacing the NeSA exam for Nebraska students. The ACT exam is used by many colleges as an entrance exam, and scoring well on this exam can be extremely beneficial to the students as they look at colleges and scholarships for next year. It is hard to believe that in just over a month another school year will be completed and the class of 2018 will be coming back this fall ready for their senior year!
